COLOUR PALETTE and STYLE : mushroom pinks, deep burgundy, taupe, olive whimsically arranged
VENUE: St Carthage's Parkville and Canvas House
PHOTOGRAPHER: Monika Berry

TESTIMONIAL: "Thank you so much Laine for all of your amazing work at our wedding and for being a dream to work with. I keep looking at the photos and I absolutely loved all the colours and textures. I had so many people comment on how beautiful your work was so a very big thank you!" - Holly
Holly and Tom were married on beautiful summer day at St Carthage's Parkville and then celebrated with family and friends at Canvas House. Holly knew she wanted textural arrangements and was clear about her colour palette but then gave us the creative freedom to use best in season flowers to bring her vision to life. So we combined roses, pampas grass, disbuds, amaranthus and astilbe to create a whimsical vibe which we think paired so well with her stunning dress and electic bridesmaids. And how sweet are her little attendants?!

Canvas House is just that, a blank canvas with high ceilings so we used table top stands with foliage and pampas grass to create interest and fill the room. A statement bar arrangement set the room off and how about that cake from The Naked Orange?!

We hope you enjoy these images courtesy of Monika Berry as much as we do and don't forget to click "read more" to well, see more.

COLOUR PALETTE and STYLE : lush foliages, lots of texture and pops of ivory
VENUE: George Ballroom
PHOTOGRAPHER: Single Soul

TESTIMONIAL: "Every detail was perfect - thank you Floral Accent for our stunning flowers!" - Brianna
The gorgeous Brianna married her beau Cameron in front of family and friends at the timeless George Ballroom on 21 December 2019. The couple chose lush and textured greens, with pops of ivory in bouquets, to compliment and not overwhelm the stunning beauty of their venue. We used  chestnut and ruscus foliages, ferns and hints of silver eucalyptus to achieve the look, with bouquets featuring the ever popular white peony.

We loved working with Brianna and Cameron and poured over the photos when we received them - so many smiles on the day. Congrats guys!

COLOUR PALETTE and STYLE : bright oranges, reds and yellows for a rustic forest setting
VENUE: Kinglake Forest Adventures
PHOTOGRAPHER: Brett Scapin Photography

TESTIMONIAL: "Just wanted to say thank you for the stunning florals you created for our wedding! They were just gorgeous, the colour combination was amazing!!!!" - Jasmine
Jas and Josh were married in the naturally beautiful setting of Kinglake Forest Adventures. A meander through the forest led to a clearing, bathed in sunlight and featuring an arbour made by Josh. Jas wanted bright florals, featuring wild flowers, to enhance the natural beauty of the setting so we combined proteas, leucs, strawflower, gum leaves and gumnuts with a few hints of roses and dahlias to create a riot of colour.

The arbour was the feature, with understated jar arrangements for wine barrels at the reception, in keeping with the rustic theme. Their cake was created by one of Jas's lovely bridesmaids and styled with flowers by us.

Erin and Dejan

COLOUR PALETTE and STYLE : bright natives with a touch of muted pink, unstructured and wild
VENUE: Melbourne Town Hall and Fenix Events
PHOTOGRAPHER: Courtney Laura
*FEATURED ON POLKA DOT BRIDE*
Erin and Dejan were married on a rainy day in Melbourne, but we think it made for a beautiful set of images. An elegant wedding was held at Melbourne Town Hall followed by a reception at Fenix events. Erin knew she wanted natives and her favourite flower was the waratah, so we created a wild mixture of strawflower, billy buttons, gum nuts and leaves, flannel flower and waxflower to compliment the feature waratahs. Bright yet somewhat dusty, the colour palette pops against the urban background of Melbourne and compliments the bush view from the floor to ceiling windows of their reception venue.

Brides and grooms wanting native flowers need to bare in mind they have a bit of weight to them. Erin has the muscles for this bouquet, but it's not for the light hearted!

We created a statement bridal table arrangement of the same natives, adorned simple candle and wood centrepieces with small clusters of flowers and this all blended beautifully with those sweet babushka dolls which had pride of place on the cake.

COLOUR PALETTE and STYLE : an autumnal blend of natives and roses with pampas grass accents
VENUE: Palace Westgarth and Little Henri Cafe
PHOTOGRAPHER: All My Wednesdays

TESTIMONIAL: "Just at the end of our honeymoon and wanted to let you know how beautiful your flowers were! I LOVED my bouquet! And everything else was just stunning! It makes me happy to be able to share the photos with you as you were quite generous, helpful and seemed as excited about my day as i was, so thank you!" - Laura

Laura and Jesse were married at Palace Westgarth, up on stage in front of all their family and friends - what a setting, and a statement! We chose rich oranges, deep reds and softer accents of blush and peach to tie in with the amber velvet curtains at the theatre and featured proteas, roses and pampas grass in all arrangements. Laura's bouquet was tied of with free flowing cotton ribbon in complimentary colours to add to her whimsical vibe.

They continued their celebrations at Little Henri Cafe and the statement floral arrangements from their ceremony along with all the little jars and vases that lined the stage and aisle of the theatre continued with them also. If you have family or friends that are willing to move your florals for you on your big day, then why not repurpose? We are all for reduced wastage here at Floral Accent - talk to us about how we can achieve the same on your big day!

Duuet
TESTIMONIAL: "What can we say! Our flowers absolutely blew us away. Not only did Laine run around like crazy on the day for us, we were able to use our arbor flowers from our bridal table to try and minimise usage. I gave her a lot of creative freedom (well I thought so!) and she absolutely nailed it. An absolute pleasure to work with her and her team and I could not recommend her highly enough. You will not be disappointed." - Kelly and Lachlan
