COLOUR PALETTE and STYLE : bright natives with a touch of muted pink, unstructured and wild VENUE: Melbourne Town Hall and Fenix Events PHOTOGRAPHER: Courtney Laura *FEATURED ON POLKA DOT BRIDE* Erin and Dejan were married on a rainy day in Melbourne, but we think it made for a beautiful set of images. An elegant wedding was held at Melbourne Town Hall followed by a reception at Fenix events. Erin knew she wanted natives and her favourite flower was the waratah, so we created a wild mixture of strawflower, billy buttons, gum nuts and leaves, flannel flower and waxflower to compliment the feature waratahs. Bright yet somewhat dusty, the colour palette pops against the urban background of Melbourne and compliments the bush view from the floor to ceiling windows of their reception venue. Brides and grooms wanting native flowers need to bare in mind they have a bit of weight to them. Erin has the muscles for this bouquet, but it's not for the light hearted! We created a statement bridal table arrangement of the same natives, adorned simple candle and wood centrepieces with small clusters of flowers and this all blended beautifully with those sweet babushka dolls which had pride of place on the cake.
