Ruby and Mike's magical, whimsical and boho wedding was held at Coombe in the Yarra Valley on the most perfect of summers days in January 2021. Ruby is gorgeous inside and out, and it was a dream working with her to bring her boho dream to life.
Her wedding was held at the height of the dried flower trend, which still remains popular, so her theming really lent itself to using dried palms, grasses and preserved hydrangea. We blended these dried botanicals with fresh roses in shades of muted pink, because there really is nothing like the fluffy petals of roses for a wedding.
They were married under the beautiful oak tree which we framed with a round white arbour and decorated minimally so that they bride and the groom, and the oak tree, were the focus. Ivory Tribe said it best when describing the floral arrangements for the reception, which sat atop tall stands on long dining tables - "suspended above the tables, they created a cloud-like effect of textural earthen fronds and soft powder pink blooms".
Ruby's bouquet and all buttonholes were made entirely of dried and preserved blooms - a forever keepsake of their beautiful wedding.
